Countdown to Copenhagen

Watch the KYOTOplus Campaign Video and sign the KYOTOplus petition!

KYOTOplus held a press conference last Thursday to present over 100,000 signatures to policy makers on Parliament hill.

All 100,000 signatories were printed on over 200 feet of banner and held up by over 30 volunteers.

Lets try to double the signatures by Copenhagen!

Bill C-311: Act Now!

Help ensure that Canada takes action to tackle the climate crisis.  Contact Members of Parliament and ask them to pass Bill C-311 (the Climate Change Accountability Act) as soon as possible. Despite last weeks delay, with political will, this Bill could be voted on before the Summit in Copenhagen is over.

Passing Bill C-311 before international climate talks in Copenhagen will send a clear message to the world - Canada is ready to take climate change seriously.

TAKE ACTION!
October 24th International Day of Climate Change

Climate Justice Speaking Tour

The
Climate Justice Tour with Rahul Bose and Christina Ora
was a great success!  Rahul and Christina toured major swing ridings around Toronto and Vancouver to speak about climate change impact on South Asia and island nations.  They also spoke about the Canadian Government's weak position on climate change, and what we in Canada can do to take action.  Check out some of the pictures below from the tour, and for more information and pictures, click here!

Thank You!

Climate Action Network Canada would like to thank everyone for attending the Annual General Meeting and strategy session this past week, with over 30 member organizations participating.  We would also like to thank those who took part in MP meeting days, as a network we met with over 30 key MPs from all parties!

Message from Graham Saul, Executive Director of Climate Action Network Canada:

I would like to sincerely thank everyone that took part in our Annual General Meeting this year. I find myself increasingly impressed by the breadth of our membership, and more importantly our ability to constructively work together. I am humbled by the quality of organizations and people involved in this network, and I believe the next year is going to be an exceptional one for us. No doubt it will be full of challenges, but also defining moments and the incredible potential to come together to affect change.

Thank you all again for your ongoing hard work,

Graham
